ABOUT THE EVENT
The Tour de Elora 10 for 10 was started in 2019 by founder and breast cancer survivor
Gillian Alton. Each year during the month of October, participants log the number of
kilometres they bike, walk or run. We aim to collectively log 10,000 KM and raise $10,000 to
support the WRHN Cancer Centre.
There are 4 competition streams:
- Solo Sprint (Individual) - For those riding solo, but going strong
- Team Torque (Business/Group) - Because power in numbers turns the wheels faster
- Little Spokes (Youth 12 years and under) - Small wheels, big hearts
- Tour de Paws (Dogs) - Four paws, unlimited tail wags
There are amazing prizes for each competition stream with the most kilometres. Set your
own personal goal for the month and encourage your friends and family to sponsor you by
making a donation.
We will be holding the 10 for 10. We are aiming to collectively reach 10,000 KM through walking, running or cycling and raise $10,000 to help support the Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) Cancer Centre.
10 for 10 fundraiser
To participate:
- Each time you bike/walk/run from October 1 - 31st, just log the number of kilometres you completed through our website (most cell phones, fitness bracelets, smart watches or cardio equipment will track this for you)
- Your kilometres will be added to the group goal of 10,000 KM
- Prizes will be awarded to the individual and youth who logs the most kilometres
- Encourage your friends and family to support you by making a donation online to support the WRHN Cancer Centre. We ask that participants aim to raise at least $100 in donations
- Winners will be announced at our closing ceremony November 1st
